Day 1: arrival and transfer to your guesthouse
Le Somail is a pretty hamlet crossed by the Canal du Midi (canal water way) and offering a charming setting that makes you feeling a journey through time.

You can follow in the Tourism Office the interpretation of Mrs. Cradock, who will tell you about her Royal trip along the Canal du Midi back in the eighteenth century.
An American President in Le Somail:
Thomas Jefferson, third President of the United States of America, was one of the first tourists to fall under the spell of Le Somail. Today, a plaque commemorates his visit.
18h: Welcome drink on deck of our boat in Le Somail with a glass of wine & little snacks.
When the weather allows, we can have BBQ on board or take dinner in a local restaurant.
Day 2
A day plunged in the discovering of the truffles & olives culture from Minervois, tasting wines from South of France and have a nice boating tour on the Canal du Midi.
9h – 11h: We will meet Elena from Mas d’Antonin; she will introduce you in the world of olives and truffles.
12h – 14.30h: Tasting of olive oil varietals, Apéro time with olive oil and snack.
Truffle meal & wine pairing.
15h – 17.30h: Boating tour from Argeliers to Le Somail. Get lazy in a natural surrounding on the Canal du Midi. Enjoy a coffee or tea on board, just letting the soul swing freely.
Ending the day with French cheese selection and wine.
Day 3
8.30h: We bring you by car into the Roussillon appellation.
10h – 14h: You will meet André Gil the owner and winemaker at Domaine de la Perdrix who will introduce you in the specifically wine making of sweet dessert wines. You will follow the different steps of wine aging and know more about how to develop the famous wine “Bandoler”, which aged 10 years in French barrels and is refined 18 months in a Jack Daniels Barrel. After a very interesting tasting we will have with André a typical vintner’s snack with local charcuteries.
16h – 18.30h: City trip Narbonne. From the Belle Epoque architecture, this could be Paris. Narbonne is the Languedoc's charming Roman city.
19h: Dining in the great French tradition at “Les Grands Buffets”, in this gourmet temple to finish a culinary journey www.lesgrandsbuffets.com/en
Depending from your flight back to Germany, we can bring you to a train station or airport nearby Toulouse, Perpignan or Montpellier.
